The moon is one of the most universal symbols and one of the most intimate at the same time. It carries cyclicity — what grows, fills, wanes and renews. Each phase has its own reading and people pick the one that speaks to them. Four ways to do it

Minimal crescent. Pure silhouette, single line, mini size. Goes on wrist, behind the ear, ankle, finger. The moon in its most essential form.

Moon with sun or stars. Symbolic composition with several elements — moon with sun, moon with stars, moon with lotus. On forearm, shoulder blade, ribs.

Lunar phases in a line. Several phases distributed in a horizontal or vertical line. Works on forearm (vertical), spine, under the chest (horizontal), collarbone.

Moon in microrealism. Full moon with detailed craters, deep shadows, realistic texture. On shoulder blade, forearm or ribs. The most visually striking version.

Possible combinations

Any combination that means something to you — moon with sun (duality), moon with stars, moon with flowers (lunar botanicals like lotus, peony or branches), moon with a date in Roman numerals, moon with a personal constellation, moon with a phrase. Send the reference by DM before you come in.

What each phase means

Waxing: beginning, growth, intention. Full: fullness, intuition, manifestation. Waning: closure, letting go, integration. New: renewal, silence, seed.
